How They Met:
As most of you know, Jackson and Emmaly both serve in the KC3 ministry. After crossing paths during these ministry weekends just a couple of times, and noticing their mutual love for Jesus, they quickly had their eyes on each other. With several mutual friends, it wasn't long before they started hanging out! Jackson invited Emmaly to go rock climbing (which happened to be closed that night), leading to their first dinner date instead. They spent the whole meal sharing their testimonies and discussing how they were both eager to grow in their relationship with God and put Him at the center of everything they do. After this, they started hanging out all the time. Jackson began attending Emmaly's church, and they would meet almost every morning to go rock climbing, finishing with a Bible study. Fast forward several months, Jackson asked Emmaly to be his girlfriend, and with no hesitation, she said yes! Since then, they have been inseparable and couldn't imagine life apart from one another.
The Proposal:
Emmaly was invited on the Everhart family trip to Colorado, but she didn't know at the time that the proposal plan had already been put in place, with every detail thought out. On the last night of the trip, they took a beautiful Jeep tour through Rocky Mountain National Park. Jackson had been communicating with their driver the whole time about where he wanted to propose and where to get the perfect sunset in the background. The tour included four hours of amazing views and admiration for God's creation. Finally, they stopped at the top of a mountain as the sun was setting, and the sky was incredible. Everyone got out to take the perfect family picture in front of the sight. Jackson and Emmaly got a picture with just the two of them, and as Emmaly went to leave to let the others get a picture, Jackson pulled her back, smiled really big, and got down on one knee. The waterworks began and Emmaly said YES!
